Chieftains run over Raiders to stay unbeaten in league

“Fundamentals and execution, that was the focus for this game,” said Lake Holcombe girls basketball assistant coach J.D. Kirkman.

Those fundamentals paid off Dec. 20, when Bruce came to call for a conference showdown. Things started out slow for the Raiders and never picked up; Lake Holcombe outscored Bruce 34-9 in just the first half, while the second part of the game was much the same.

The Chieftains walked away with an easy 57-18 victory, to stay undefeated in the conference, at 3-0, with a 4-2 record overall.
