Cornell reels in the win over Butternut

Cornell saw non-conference opponent Butternut come to town Dec. 2, for a girls basketball showdown.

“We started to fall apart 2 minutes before the half, but the girls were determined to get the win, so they came out better than ever the second half, to round off the win,” said coach Courtney Yanko.

With that determination, Cornell took the win, 49-31, for the first victory of the season.

“The girls had a great night,” said Yanko. “Everyone played extremely well. The scoring was spread throughout the team and the girls played great offense all the way through the game.”
