Lake Holcombe free throws can’t get Chieftains a win

Heading to Prentice Dec. 1, the Lake Holcombe girls basketball program was in for a battle against the non-conference foe. The Chieftains were down by six at halftime, but not out.

Lake Holcombe’s free throw shooting was spot on, with the Chieftains making 22 out of 26 attempts. Despite that, Prentice managed to pull out the win, 54-49.

Junior Emma Lechlietner led for Lake Holcombe, with 20 points, six of those from three-point land. Senior Karly Kirkman was right behind, with 18 points, followed by sophomore Abby Jones, who had 8. Senior Justine Kane also got on the board, notching a three-pointer.
