A flag to celebrate a special achievement

Students from the Greenwood Elementary School watch as elementary Title I teacher Amanda Schlough and Elementary Principal Shane Lilly raise a new flag on the school’s flagpole to celebrate their selection as a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School. The elementary school raised the flag at the end of the day on Nov. 22 to conclude a day of celebration for the students who worked hard to receive the designation of an Exemplary Achievement Gap-Closing School. The Greenwood Elementary was one of 297 schools in the entire nation to receive the award.
