Cadott hits the links for their first outdoor action

By Ginna Young

The weather finally cooperated enough April 11, for the Cadott golf team to get out on the course, as the Hornets traveled to Bloomer, for a Cloverbelt Conference match.

Coming up with a score of 52, were seniors Ethan Foldy and Brett Schofield, followed by Sam Scheidler, with 50. Senior Jacob Ackley was right behind, with 49. Junior Peter Weir rounded out the scoring, with 47.

“The weather has not cooperated much this spring, and our driving range has not been open yet this year, so we haven’t had time to practice hitting outside much,” said coach Scott Christenson.

The Hornets finished with a team score of 198, which gives them something to build on for the next match.

“It wasn’t our best showing, but it was good to be on the course again,” said Christenson. “We are hoping to improve each and every match.”
