Chieftains win over Cats

As the season enters it final week of regular play, Lake Holcombe’s volleyball program headed to Birchwood in conference action Oct. 10.

The Chieftains took the win, 25-15, in the first set, but Birchwood was on their game in the second, making it a close 25-23 win for Lake Holcombe. The third set was close, but Lake Holcombe pulled it out, 25-21.

Leading on kills, was senior Karly Kirkman, with 6, and junior Emma Lechleitner, with 5, while sophomore Chloe Lee had 9 assists and 10 digs.

“Everyone saw playing time during this match,” said coach Beth Meddaugh, “which was a great opportunity for up and coming players to get a bit more experience.”
