Young Knights team run well in hot weather

On a difficult course on a very warm day, the Cornell-Lake Holcombe cross country runners competed in their first varsity race Aug. 30. At Bruce, the two high school students who ran, did well against the 18 schools at the invitational.

For the boys, freshman Alex Dixon placed 60th in the large field (34:13.3), while for the girls, freshman Emma Wright came in 70th (34:43.2).

“The kids are running good,” said coach Greg “Cookie” Anderson.
