Lake Holcombe runs out of luck on the road

Lake Holcombe hit the road Feb. 24, with the boys basketball program taking on Luck in a non-conference match. The contest was a high-scoring affair, with Luck going into halftime up by 18. The Chieftains couldn’t get their offense going, while Luck continued to score.
At the end of the night, Luck walked away the victor, 92-54, to end the regular season for the Chieftains.
Junior Harley Schroeder led for Lake Holcombe, with 19 points, followed by senior Brendan Anders, with 16 points. Senior Bowen added 9 points on the night, while senior Sam Ewer finished with 5. Senior Nathan Jones and freshman Trent Lee each added 2 points, and freshman Ryley Craker chipped in with 1 point.
The Chieftains wrapped up their regular season record with a 7-16 standing and sitting at 6-9 in the East Lakeland Conference.
