Area students earn their college degrees
UW-Eau Claire The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire awarded 678 degrees in December. Of the degrees awarded, 676 were received by students attending the Eau Claire campus and two were received by students attending UW-Eau Claire - Barron County.
Local students who received degrees and their fields of study are: -- Greenwood: Madeline Pedretti, Arts and Sciences, Bachelor of Arts, psychology; Trevor Serocki, Business, Bachelor of Business Administration, management -- Spencer: McKenzie Bainer, Nursing and Health Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, nursing; Kayla Hopperdietzel, Arts and Sciences, Bachelor of Science, criminal justice UW- River Falls Jillian Tyler of Granton was among 437 students receiving degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls following commencement in December. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded to 395 undergraduates, while 42 students received master’s degrees.
Tyler earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture education. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a cumulative grade point average over her college career of at least 3.80.
UW-Stout The following students from the area graduated in December 2021 from University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie.
-- Greenwood: Jennifer Hangen, BS Career, Technical Education and Training -- Loyal: Blain Schmidt, BS Engineering Technology -- Spencer: Crystal Brings, BS Human Development and Family Studie UW-Stout enrollment was 7,670 in the fall. The university graduated 454 undergraduate and 106 Graduate School students in December 2021.
UW-Oshkosh The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s 57th midyear commencement recognized the academic achievements of students from its Oshkosh, Fond du Lac and Fox Cities campuses.
Two ceremonies in Kolf Sports Center included the conferring of nearly 100 associate, more than 750 bachelor’s, 180 master’s and five doctoral degrees.
Among the graduates was Michael Topness, of Spencer, Online and Continuing Education, Bachelor of Applied Science, Leadership and Organizational Studies
