Although the Cadott cross country runners were without a complete boys team, because of injury and illness, the athletes present still came up with a good meet.
Individually, junior Peter Weir placed second for the boys, with a time of 17:31.8. Following him, was freshman Ewan Weir in 49th (22:24.5) and sophomore Sage Handrick in 58th place (23:20.3).
On the girls side, the team ended in ninth place, while individually, sophomore Jaycee Stephens took 34th (26:29.5), with freshman Mia Weggen right behind for 40th place (27:21.7).
Junior Lucy Lindeman finished 46th (27:54.4), with freshman Mozelle Walthers a few steps behind in 49th (28:22.1). Senior Mallory Kyes rounded it out for the team, placing 58th (30:33.9).
“The course has a very long, wicked hill,” said coach Tom Weiss.
