Hornets take overtime win
By Ginna Young
In a game that was delayed to the next day, because of inclement weather, Cadott’s football squad faced off on the road against Pittsville, Aug. 28. For four quarters, there was no score, as the Hornets held Pittsville’s offense back. Likewise, Pittsville did the same to the visiting team.
Going into overtime, a 25-yard touchdown run by junior Tegan Ritter changed all that, and the Hornets took the game, 6-0.
Ritter led on rushing, with 57 yards, followed by senior Gavin Tegels, with 31, and senior Kaleb Sonnentag, with 28. Senior Ryan Sonnentag had 32 yards receiving, while Tegels racked up 33 yards on passing.
With the non-conference win, Cadott now sits at 1-1 on the season.
