Hornets derail Altoona
By Ginna Young
It was tough to get in some playing time, but the Cadott girls basketball program managed to host Altoona Jan. 22. When facing off, it’s always a strong game between the two teams.
“It was probably our most complete game from beginning to start, with our defense being consistent,” said coach Dave Hazuga.
The game was tied up at the end of the first half, 24-24, but Cadott outscored the Rails, 20-15 in the second. The conference game went the way of the Hornets, 44-39, to improve Cadott’s record to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in conference play.
