Bank remodeling

People’s State Bank plans to remodel its Marathon location at 314 Main Street, with work beginning in early January 2021 and wrapping up in late spring.

The 2,500 square foot remodeling project will provide better flow for customers and employees, an ADA-compliant bathroom and will create two additional offices for customer interaction.

“We’re creating more private spaces where our employees and customers can have conversations,” said Peoples State Bank President & CEO Scott Cattanach. “It shows a commit- ment to our customers from Marathon and the surrounding area, offering an updated and redesigned space to enhance their banking experience.”

The bank plans to be open throughout construction, although there may be a bit of dust or construction noise in the background. A temporary teller line will be installed in the lobby, so customers won’t have to navigate through the construction. Customer drive through service will not be impacted.

“This upgraded and remodeled space will be great, not only for our customers, but for bank employees as well,” said Marathon Branch Manager Kaci Sessions. “In addition to the added office space, the workflow for our customer service representatives will also improve.”

“We are excited about the project that Peoples State Bank has proposed for the Marathon City location,” said Marathon Village Administrator Andy Kurtz. “Their continued investment further demonstrates the commitment of Peoples State Bank to Main Street revitalization and the community.”

Peoples has hired The Redmond Company, a wellrespected bank design and contracting company, for the architecture work and will hire local construction companies for the remodeling project.
