Glenn Rachu Glenn M. Rachu, age 86, of Abbotsford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at the Marshfield Medical Center. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Tim Oudenhoven will preside. Interment will follow with military honors provided by the Colby VFW Post No. 2227 at the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 4-8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 3:45 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 1 p.m. until time of the service Friday at the church. Glenn was born on March 7, 1933, the son of Ervin and Evelyn (Kurtzweil) Rachu, in Marathon County. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. On June 30, 1954, Glenn was united in marriage to Darlene Molle at St. Mary Catholic Church in Colby. Together they farmed for 30 years in the Town of Colby. He then continued to work for a farmer. Glenn also worked at the Abbotsford Recycling Center. Glenn is survived by his wife of 65 years, Darlene; four children: Gary (Anita) of Kimberly, Dale (Margie) of Abbotsford, Donna (Mike) Sippl of Kronenwetter and Gwenn (Marty) Kaiser of Colby; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and two on the way. He is further survived by two brothers: Donald (Phyllis) Rachu of Marshfield and Ray (Sharon) Rachu of Colby; two sisters: Sharon (Jerry) Tiege of Weston and Gloria (Jerry) Butterfield of Kronenwetter; a brother-inlaw, Ken Jicinsky of Spencer; two sisters-in-law: Cairgene Kauth of Marshfield and Linda Molle of Abbotsford; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson; his brother, Bill Rachu; his sister, Darlene Jicinsky; and a brother-in-law, Leroy Kauth. Jeremy Behnke Jeremy Dale Behnke, age 36, of Dorchester, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at his residence. A funeral service was held at 12 (noon) on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at Saint Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester with Rev. Shawn Andersen presiding. Family and friends were invited to gather on Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Committal service will be held privately at a later time. The honor of pallbearer belonged to Ky Degroot, Vince Rau, Nathan Bruce, AJ Behnke, Gene Henke, Brian Dombroski, Tim Schwecke and Kora Reynolds. Jeremy was born Nov. 12, 1982, in Marshfield, the son of David and Sandy (Geiger) Behnke. He was a Colby High School graduate, later attending some technical school classes. He had worked for Four-Star Marketing as a processing engineer. On April 18, 2017, he was united in marriage to Danielle Moberg. They later divorced. Jeremy enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and spending time in Mexico and Colorado or any place with sandy beaches and water. Other interests included being outdoors on his snowboard, playing guitar and golfing, and was proud to be one of the Milwaukee Brewers “Greatest Fans.” Survivors include his parents, David and Sandra Behnke of Dorchester; his brother, Matt (Jonelle) Behnke of Wausau; his niece, Lily Behnke of Wausau; and his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Geiger of Dorchester. Jeremy is further survived by his English Bulldog, Penny; his chickens, Harriet and Becky; and his cat, Snooches; along with many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who loved him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Norbert Geiger; and his paternal grandparents, Dale and Irene Behnke.
