Helen M. Radosevich


1941-2022 Helen M. Radosevich, 80, of Medford, died Friday morning after a hardfought, year and a half battle with cancer on Nov. 11, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Saturday at the church. Helen was born Dec. 14, 1941 in Durand, Wis. to Lloyd and Margaret (Berger) Price. She was raised in Durand and during her high school years, her family moved to River Falls. She graduated from River Falls High School, class of 1959. On July 1, 1961, she married Tracy Radosevich at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls. They resided in River Falls for several years, then moved to Dodgeville, and then moved to Medford, where they raised their children. Helen worked at the Taylor County Selective Service Office until the office closed. She then worked as an administrative secretary at TDS Telecom for nearly 30 years until her retirement. Helen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. The grandkids have many fond memories of her sharing recipes, cooking special dishes just for them, working on puzzles, sewing, playing board games, and stuff. Helen had a long love of watching baseball going back to the days when the Braves were in Milwaukee, but especially cheering on the Brewers over the past decade. She has always been an avid reader, sharing that love with her children and grandchildren. Those close to her know of her support of the public library, volunteering time, donating, and advocating. She periodically participated in the “Reads” program at the elementary school, something she found very rewarding. Helen enjoyed gardening, often sharing the results with family and friends. She would often take walks throughout the neighborhood, chatting with many friends along the way. Somehow Helen would have cards written and sent out in time for every birthday and anniversary of those in her life. Over the years, Helen had also bowled, curled, and golfed. Helen was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she also served on several committees and volunteered. She was active in the BPW (Business and Professional Women), serving as an officer for many years. She is survived by her children, Bob (Dawn) Radosevich of Madison, Ann (Alan) Dohm of Eau Claire, Mary (Keven) Machon of Toledo, Ohio, Diane (Todd) Grube of Byron, Minn.; sisters, Marcia Price of Menomonie, Patricia (Dennis) Johnson of Powell, Ohio; grandchildren, Emma and Ben Radosevich, Alex, Alissa and Abby Dohm, Max, Maggie and Isaac Machon, Chad and Gabrina Grube; and one greatgrandson, Miles Dohm. Helen also had much love for her embraced grandchildren, Mercedes and Isaac Zepeda. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Elaine Price; and her husband, Tracy on Jan. 29, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and may go to the Medford Library Foundation. 1929-2022 Catherine E. Dassow, 93, of Whittlesey, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at her home. A Funeral Mass for Catherine took place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022 at OLPH Catholic Church. Burial followed at OLPH Catholic Cemetery. Visitation took place at the OLPH Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. A rosary service took place at 9 a.m. Catherine was born on Oct. 4, 1929 to Joseph and Susan (Kellner) Stauner in Medford. She married Oscar Dassow on Oct. 27, 1951; he preceded her in death in 1976. She was a homemaker on the family farm and would help milking the cows. She was devoted to her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Catherine was a devoted member of OLPH Catholic Church and prayed the rosary daily. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting, and going to garage sales. Catherine is survived by her children, Judy Schuh of Withee, Ken (Debra) Dassow of Medford, Pam (Danny) Harrell of Gilmore, TX, Jeff (Shirley) Dassow and Greg (Ann) Dassow, both of Medford; grandchildren, Scott, Shelley, Sandi, Sarah, Amber, Ashly, Rebecca, and Mary Kay; great-grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Paxton, Alexa, Ava, Felicity, Liam, Haylea, Sadie, and Mattie; brothers-in-law, Manny Gilles, Ed Dassow, and Richard Jensen; sister-in-law Margaret Stauner. Catherine is further survived by other family and friends. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Oscar; daughter, Beverly Dassow; grandson, Travis; 12 siblings. Jo Ann Marie Porter

Jo Ann Marie Porter


1953-2022 Jo Ann Marie Porter, 69, of Plover, Wis. passed away peacefully at her residence at Maple Ridge Memory Care on Nov. 7, 2022. Services for Jo Ann were held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - 2000 Roosevelt Drive, Plover. Friends and family gathered to share memories at the church on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Jo Ann was welcomed into life on Sept. 20, 1953 by her parents, Harry and Edna (Blasel) Porter, in Medford. As a young girl, she attended area schools and spent time growing and learning alongside her sisters and brothers. After graduating from Greendale High School in 1973, Jo Ann worked for Goodwill. Her job took her to various cities throughout Wisconsin until she landed in Plover where she remained. Jo Ann had a big heart and a fun-loving nature. She enjoyed coloring, watching old TV shows, and had a soft spot for puppies and kittens. She also loved to cheer for her sports teams, especially the Brewers. But nothing topped her daily Coca-Cola at 3 p.m. everyday! Jo Ann is survived by her mother, Edna Porter of Plover; her two sisters, Lori (Marvin) Hopp of Plover and Janet (John) Zausch of Saukville; and two brothers, Jon (Linda) Porter of Eagle, and Bob (Sue) Porter of Rome, Wis. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, Tara, Katie, Joshua, Jason, Jared, Clinton, Rachel, Scott, and Melanie. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father, Harry; a sister, Debra; her grandparents, Ed & Leona Blasel and Harry & Laura Porter; and a niece, Amber (Hopp) Schneider. Daniel R. Resch

Daniel R. Resch


1989-2022 Daniel R. Resch, 32, of Ogema, formerly of Rhinelander, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022 as the result of a car accident. Dan’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. 3 p.m. at Camp 28. The Camp restaurant and bar will be closed all day on Sunday for the service. He was born Dec. 5, 1989 in Rhinelander to Beverly Resch and Brian Smith. He graduated from Rhinelander High School, then continued his education at Nicolet College, graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts. Daniel earned an internship at The Ritz in London, where he became even more proficient as a chef. Returning to Rhinelander, he worked in various restaurants, becoming well known for his skill. He then met the love of his life, Jonathan Lanius, and knew they were meant to be. The two were married on Dec. 19, 2020. Soon, great life partners became great business partners with the opportunity to live their dream and purchase a restaurant of their own in Jonathan’s hometown of Rib Lake. They purchased Camp 28 Restaurant & Motel in April of 2021, and currently own and operate the successful business. In addition to cooking, Dan enjoyed downhill skiing, shopping, and telling jokes (especially unfunny, mundane dad jokes that he would hear on TikTok). He was also a prankster, often playing tricks on people or scaring them in some way. Dan loved his dog Cujo and he loved his dear husband, and his many, many friends. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include his husband, Jonathan Resch; father, Brian (Ollie) Smith; grandmother, Beverly Frasier; Jonathan’s parents, Marjorie Lanius, Jon (Kim) Lanius, and Caralee Kreps; Jonathan’s siblings, Ashlyn (Joshua) Nowobielski, Justin (Clarice Padilla) Lanius, Kerstyn (Heath Janke) Lanius, and Lucina Lanius; and his dog, Cujo. He is further survived by his aunts, Roberta (Smith) Rench (Eric Rench), Rebecca (Smith) Miller (Charles Miller), Barbara (Smith) Bardi; and numerous other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly; and his dog, Noodle. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in memory of Dan toward service expenses. 1941-2022 Adrianne L. Schneider, 81, of Rib Lake, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 at her home. A memorial service for Adrianne will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, with Fr. Jayanna Kanna officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Adrianne was born on Feb. 12, 1941 to Raymond and Margaret (Polacek) Schirmer in Green Bay. She graduated from Rib Lake High School. She married Gerald “Paddy” J. Schneider on June 6, 1959. She worked briefly for the Rib Lake Nursing Home, while she was a farmer and a homemaker for many years. She worked on the farm until her and Paddy sold the cows in 1993. She then worked at Weather Shield until her retirement. She also volunteered at the Rib Lake Senior Center. Adrianne was a lifelong, avid Green Bay Packer fanatic. She enjoyed playing cards, riding her 4 wheeler, and her morning coffee at Northside Café. She was a regular at Zondlo’s bar. She was known for not having a filter and told you the way it was. Adrianne was survived by her children, Jane Schneider of Westboro, Jacky (Tim) Peterson of Westboro, Tony (Karen) Schneider of Rib Lake, Linda (Tony) Kochan of Ogema, and Jeannie Logan of Weston; grandchildren, Alex, Jared, Carl, Nikki, Tyler, Derek, Kyle, Zach, Adam, Ashley, Cain, and Cody; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Deicher, Patsy Biddle, and Carol Jari. Adrianne is further survived by other family and friends. Adrianne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; son, Joseph; brothers, Raymond Jr., Irving, and Glenn; sister, Pearl Hubbard.
