1949-2023 Andrew “Andy” Lotter Jr., 73, Athens, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, Aug. 14, 2023 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Rev. George Graham will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. He was born Nov. 3, 1949 to Andrew and Elizabeth (Weiler) Lotter. Andy was the sixth of seven children. He attended grade school at St. Anthony Catholic School and graduated from Athens High School in 1967. Andy farmed the family farm in the town of Bern for many years and alongside his brother, John, ran heavy equipment for their business, Lotter’s Excavating and Trucking. Survivors include two brothers, John Lotter, Athens and Thomas (Ruth) Lotter, Wausau; one sister, Kathleen Murkowski, Wausau; one sister-in-law, Lola (Lester) Lendrum, Weston; one brother-in-law, Dan Collins, Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. 1951-2023 On the afternoon of July 27, 2023, Jim Yanko of Forsyth, Mo., after courageously battling cancer, ascended to the Lord with his cherished best friend & wife by his side. Although our hearts are broken, we are joyful that he is now free of suffering and celebrating in Heaven with his father Frank and mother Anna (Leonhard) Yanko and many dear relatives and loved ones. There will be a Celebration of Life at Zondlo’s Ballroom in Rib Lake, on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at 2 p.m. There will be a Mass in Jim’s name at Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, followed by a private interment at the Rib Lake Lakeview Cemetery. Jim will have a graveside memorial bench in his honor. Born Jan. 31, 1951, in Marshfield, the sixth of twelve children, is where Jim began a lifetime filled with love, laughter, a keen wit and a generous steady spirit. Jim graduated from Rib Lake High School. He excelled at basketball and baseball. His siblings were all jealous of Jim saying that he never needed to study. Learning just came natural to him all his life. Jim was a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Rib Lake. He tried his hand at road construction and then became a plumber under his uncle Gene’s tutelage in Rib Lake. Jim and wife Karen moved to Lake Mills, in the mid 80’s and raised their three daughters Carrie, Mia and Sara together. He coached girls’ softball for many years to support his girls and his love of baseball. Jim was very proud of each girls’ individual successes in life. Jim and Karen divorced in 1998. Jim continued his career as a Master Plumber and Project Manager for various plumbing and mechanical contracting organizations in Wisconsin. At one of those jobs in 2003 he met his soulmate Joyce (Ryan). Not wanting to rush into marriage they wed Sept. 20, 2013, after 10 years together. He retired in February 2017 from Harwood Engineering Consultants in Milwaukee, as a Plumbing Designer and Senior Project Manager. Jim and Joyce then moved from Lake Mills, to Forsyth, Mo., and together relished remodeling every inch of their ‘diamond in the rough’ in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Jim enjoyed following the Packers, Brewers, and all things Wisconsin Badgers (most of the time). Hunting season at the cabin he and brother Joe owned was his favorite outing of the year. He bowled in a league and played baseball for many years in Rib Lake and Lake Mills. He most loved cheering on and critiquing his grandchildren in all their endeavors with sports and life. Jim has left everyone who knew him with a smile from his dry wit and some lesson they learned just by watching him live within their space, even if only for a short while. 1934-2023 Myrna Mae Mauch 88, formerly of Jump River, passed away on June 9, 2023, at Aspirus Tivoli Community, Portage. A Celebration of Life with be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 19, at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Jump River. She was born July 1, 1934, the first child of the late George T. and Jessie Mae (Bromley) Mauch. She was raised in Sheldon and was valedictorian of the graduation Ladysmith High School Class of 1952. She attended the University of Chicago. She was employed at the State of Minnesota Department of Highways as a civil engineer. She decided to do a career change and enrolled in Logan College of Chiropractic in St Louis. She graduated in 1973 and became a licensed chiropractor in Wisconsin. She established her office in Holmen, in 1974 until her retirement. In 2006, she purchased land on the Jump River in the McKinley Township, Taylor County. Myrna had her house built on the lot, within 100 yards of the birth location of her mother, Jessie. In 2021 the first “Mauch Gathering” was arranged by Myrna as the matriarch. Survivors include younger brothers, Bart (Margaret) Mauch of Prairie du Sac, and Douglas Bruce (Gail) Mauch of Saugus, Mass. 1951-2023 Cary Oliver Reinhold, 71, passed away on May 6, 2023, in Tacoma, Washington. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 19 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford with visitation at the church one hour before the service. Burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery will follow the service, and a luncheon at Holy Rosary Social Hall will take place following the burial. Cary was born on June 21, 1951, in Medford, to Carl Oliver and Josephine Mary (VanLaarhoven) Reinhold and grew up with his eleven siblings on the family farm. He graduated from Medford High School in 1969, and after serving honorably in the Army, trained to become an electrician. After living in Alaska for 25 years, he relocated to Tacoma in 1999. He is survived by his children, Joseph Reinhold and Stephanie Markley; and grandson, Ross Reinhold, all of Anchorage, Ala. He is further survived by three brothers, Richard (Alvern) Reinhold, David (Mary Hammond) Reinhold, and Lawrence (Tanya Tan) Reinhold; and eight sisters, Judith Reinhold, Barbara Reinhold, Lois (David) Hoppe, Marlene (Fred) Grandinetti, Carol (Kenneth) Landry, Carolyn Reinhold, Kathleen Tonn, and Valerie (David Joyce) Reinhold. Cornelius “Neil” Micke, 77, of Stetsonville, suffered a cardiac event in his home and passed away at Aspirus Medford on Aug. 7, 2023. Neil’s family will host a visitation at Sacred Heart in Stetsonville on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, from 9:30-11 a.m. with funeral mass at 11 a.m. There will be a luncheon at the Stetsonville Centennial Hall immediately after Mass, followed by his burial at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman.
