Christina Maria (Bucki) Piller

Christina Maria (Bucki) Piller

Christina Maria (Bucki) Piller, age 92, of Medford, was born to eternal life on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024 at Medford Aspirus Care & Rehab with her daughter by her side. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26, 2024 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home in Medford with Fr. Julian Druffner officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Evergreen II Cemetery, Medford. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Born Aug. 24, 1931, to Carl & Mary (Ramskuglar) Poehnelt, being the youngest of 11 children. She attended Pleasant Hites School in Medford. She married Emil Bucki on Nov. 17, 1948. They resided in Medford and farmed for approximately 17 years, raising 9 children. They later divorced. Christina was then employed with Memorial Hospital of Taylor County for 27 years; working five years as a nurse’s aide and 22 years as a physical therapy aide. She retired in 1993. Christina enjoyed retirement and the simple pleasures in life. Her greatest pleasure was family gatherings and visits. Whether large or small, she enjoyed them all. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her, as did her friends, neighbors, and many nieces and nephews. Her health was always exceptionally well for a woman of her age until the past year and she felt very grateful for that, telling many people, “I had a good 90 years!” She was a hard worker and a very independent woman. She continued to do all of her 1931-2024 own housework and yardwork herself. She was a daily walker who always took the time to smile, say hello, and chat with her neighbors and friends. She was a good person with a kind heart. She was very strong willed and outspoken – where need be. She could also be quite witty “dishing it out” and “taking it in” as good as the other guy. She endured numerous hardships throughout her journey of life, but her perseverance and strong faith always carried her through. She shared love, kindness, hugs, smiles, conversations and jokes with family, friends and neighbors. She will be deeply missed by many and will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Through eternal life, her spirit has now been lifted and her love is shining down upon all of us. We love you Mom/Grandma and will miss you dearly. Christina is survived by her children, Ron (Laura) Bucki, Jan (Duane) Rademacher, Dianne Bucki, and Mark Bucki all of Wisconsin, Marlene (Michael) Jordan of South Carolina, Julie Lemke of Minnesota, Daryl Bucki of South Dakota. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three greatgreat- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David and Dennis Bucki; two daughters-in-law, Juta and Anita Bucki; one granddaughter, Tammi Lyn Bucki; and her former husband, Emil Bucki. She was also preceded in death by her 10 siblings, six brothers, Carl, John, Frank, Joe, Leo and Bill Poehnelt; and four sisters, Mary Kuenne, Ann Tom, Theresa Kuenne and Agnes Williams. Donald “Don” P. Kobielush

Donald “Don” P. Kobielush

1945-2024 Donald “Don” P. Kobielush, age 78, entered his heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, while at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, S.C. Because of Don’s extremely positive and strong constitution, and with the dedicated care of his loving wife, Juana, he was able to fight and delay the slow, but steady, physical decline associated with his severe stroke 14 years ago. On that day, Sept. 28, 2009, while coming home for a quick lunch break, tragedy struck, and Don uttered his last intelligible words on this earth. Lack of speech and a compromised physical state NEVER stole his ability to communicate kindness, love, excitement, joy, tenderness, and unwavering faith through the pain of disappointment. Don was born Jan. 27, 1945, in Marshfield. He was raised in Westboro, by his mother, Carol (Ljungquist) Kobielush, along with his four brothers. His mother preceded him in death. Juana, Don’s faithful and loving wife of 32 years, survives him along with two adult step-children, Melissa Bowen (Ga.) and Brian Bowen (Calif.). He is also survived by his brothers and their wives, Bob (Jo Ann) in Wis.; Jim (Ann) in Ariz.; David (Linda) in Minn.; and Bruce (Julie) in Tenn. Also surviving are 11 nieces and nephews along with 18 grand nieces and nephews. After graduation from Westboro High School, Don attended the University of Wisconsin Madison pursuing pre-med courses. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethel University in 1971. It’s impossible to list all of the things that Don did as a part of his working career, but they include: fulltime traveling Christian music group singer with “The Sixth Day”; over-the-road trucker with his own rig; entrepreneur and inventor of the BAR-B-DOG; and construction company owner and real estate broker. He pursued everything with vigor and an insistence on quality. To know Don was to love him and be the recipient of even greater kindness and love in return. He often gave beyond his capacity and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. We do know, however, that for those of us who have accepted Jesus as our Savior, we will see him again someday in Heaven. Don received Christ as his Savior in June of 1954. A Homecoming and Reunion Gathering for Don will be held at the Woodland Community Church, in Westboro, on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., and a service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery with a lunch reception at Woodland Community Church. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory of Tomahawk is assisting the family with arrangements. You may view Don’s obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com. Memorials are appreciated to the Woodland Community Church. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day. Paid Obituary 147580
