Bonnie Adams

Bonnie Adams

1930-2021 Bonnie Adams of Medford was called home to be with her Savior on Nov. 18, 2021 at the age of 90. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Centennial Community Center in Stetsonville. Time of remembrance will begin at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served starting at noon. Bonnie (Batchelder) Adams was born on Dec. 27, 1930 in Illiopolis, Ill. where she spent the early years of her life. On Sept. 5, 1948, Bonnie married the love of her life, Gene Adams. During their first six years of marriage, they welcomed four baby boys to the family while running a supermarket which they owned in Sullivan, Ill. In 1954, they sold their market, moved, and purchased a 120 acre farm located in the Holway township in Wis. While living on the farm, Bonnie and Gene welcomed three daughters to their growing family and continued to expand their dairy farm over the next 34 years. Bonnie’s biggest pastime and love was taking care of her family which included making fresh homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, pies and delicious home cooked meals. Her family and the neighborhood kids were always well fed. She also planted, weeded and harvested two large gardens and would can hundreds of quarts of beans, peas, peaches, pears, applesauce, pickles and relish. In her free time, she spent a fair amount of time sewing outfits for her girls and mending the boys’ pants. While raising her family, Bonnie was actively involved with the Owen Alliance church. She taught Sunday School classes to kids and adults for many years. She was also the treasurer for the church. Bonnie was an avid speaker and spoke at many Christian gatherings, spreading God’s word. In 1989, Bonnie and Gene decided to retire from farming and they moved to Pearce, Ariz. where Gene built Bonnie their new home. Bonnie was the book keeper for Gene’s flea market but in her free time she pursued her love of quilting. She pieced together and hand sewed over 300 quilts, making sure that each of her children and each grandchild received one. She continued to garden and tend her flowers and plants in Arizona. She definitely had a green thumb. Bonnie also loved to read. She read most, if not all of Louis L’Amour’s western books along with countless other books. In 2014, Gene and Bonnie moved back to Wis. to be closer to their family and resided in Stetsonville. Upon losing her husband, Bonnie moved into an assisted living facility in Medford. Bonnie attributed her successful marriage of 71 years and her long prosperous life to God, as she always kept Christ first in everything she did. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Gene in 2019. Bonnie will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by four sons, Mike (Sue) of Rainsville, Ala., Steve (Adele), Rodney (Nancie), Jake (Amy) all of Holway; three daughters, Jean (Brian) Boyles of Mosinee; Gayle (David) Baehr of Withee; Sarah (Brian) Holtz of Holway along with 22 grandkids, 54 great-grandkids and 6 great-great grandkids. Edward John Haynes

Edward John Haynes

1947-2021 Edward John Haynes, 74, was taken from our lives too soon as a result of COVID-19 complications on Nov. 11, 2021. Edward loved to talk to everyone about his creator and the future hope found at Revelation 21:3,4 and Acts 24:15. He looks forward to a time when all things will be made new and rests until that future promise. A scriptural memorial service will be held via Zoom on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 at 2 p.m. CST and will be officiated by Clint Boettcher of the North Wausau Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Born on Feb. 13, 1947 in Chicago, Ill., the middle child of five and only son to Curlee and Rose (Cavaleri) Haynes. Edward married his beloved wife, Linda Fay (Kolnik) Haynes on Dec. 27, 1969 in Chicago, Ill. Linda’s love, compassion, competitiveness and intuitiveness made them an indispensable pair. Edward and Linda called the beautiful and peaceful North Woods of Phillips, Wis. home for more than 45 years. In Phillips, Edward was self-employed and recently retired from his personal HVAC business. While humble, he was known by many as a modern-day Renaissance Man; a designer, inventor, often creating efficient ways to accomplish the impossible. Edward was lively, loving and generous. His energy was unmatched whether it was to finish a job, tell a story, take a family trip or play a simple game of dominos. Edward brought warmth wherever he went and made a lasting impression in such a way that individuals wanted to be a part of his antics. The greatest part of life is spending it on something that will outlast it, and Edward (Dad, Grandpa) embodied that by devoting himself to his family and his relationships. Edward is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Fay (Kolnik) Haynes; seven children, Tifney Haynes, Jesse (Keira Lynda) Haynes, Kelly Haynes, Valarie (Jon) Teppo, Kristopher Austin Haynes, ‘A Havahla (Austin) Haynes-Brobst, Lauren (Spencer) Haynes-Moore; five grandchildren, Corey Tyler Henninger, Tyler Elizabeth Brower, Riley Nikkol Brower, Sophia Rose Teppo, Myles Oliver Brobst; and four sisters, Shirley (Sal) Infantino, Patricia McDonald, Fran Silva and Rosemary (Gilbert) Haynes-Aragon. He was preceded in death by his parents Curlee and Rose (Cavaleri) Haynes. Paid Obituary 113725
