Good vibes can be felt all through baseball programs

Play ball!
That’s never been easier, at the Cadott baseball field, than it is this year, after almost a complete renovation of the site. The field, which is home to the high school varsity, Ponies, Red Sox and Legion teams, now has lights for night games, as well as a new scoreboard and a concession stand, with an announcer’s booth above.
Those in charge moved the dugouts down, to make more spectator room, installing a concrete pad.
“It was a big community effort,” said coordinator Jon Bowe. “A lot of people came together.”
The group fundraised to pay for the lights, while poles and wiring were donated by baseball dads, and an electric company gave a reduced rate for their work.
If all the community involvement had not taken place, Bowe estimated that it would have cost a couple hundred thousand dollars to pay for the project.
“I think it’s put a lot of good vibe through all the baseball programs in Cadott,” said Bowe.
