Stangl and Wanek say vows in a double-ring ceremony


Delanie Dolores Stangl and Devan John Wanek exchanged nuptial vows, in a double-ring ceremony July 2, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cadott, with the Rev. Gary Paul officiating.
Parents of the couple are David and Denise Stangl, Cadott, and Bryan Wanek and fiancé Renee Barrett, Hayfield, Minn., and Tim and Michele Swift, Claremont, Minn.
The bride was given in marriage by her father; she wore a gown fully embellished with sequins and pearls, with a three-quarter length veil, carrying a bouquet of roses accented with baby’s breath and ferns. Carrying the bride’s train, were her nieces, Dalilah Nolan and Diedra Stangl. The groom wore a blue tux, and white shirt and vest, accented with champagne white roses and tie.
Attending the couple, were best man, Nick Wanek, brother of the groom, Duluth, Minn.; and matron of honor, Daisha Nolan, sister of the bride, Lake Nebagamon.
Groomsmen and acting ushers, were Dean Stangl, brother of the bride; Collin Olevson, friend of the groom; Travis Nolan, brotherin- law of the bride; Ryan Stellmaker, cousin of the groom; and Davis Nolan, nephew of the bride. The men wore navy blue tuxedos, white shirts, navy blue vests, and accents of burnt orange flowers and ties.
Bridesmaids were Crystal Stangl, sisterin- law of the bride; Clare Nelson, friend of the bride; Kelly Irish, cousin and friend of the bride; Paige Wanek, sister of the groom; and Denali Stangl, neice of the bride. The ladies wore full-length navy blue dresses, and carried bouquets of white roses and mums, in shades of orange, accented with baby’s breath and ferns.
The personal attendant to the bride was Tammy LaDuke.
David Post was the organist and sang, I Will Be There, by Stephen Curtis Chapman. Photos were taken by William Boyea.
After the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at Florian Gardens in Eau Claire. Out-of-town guests traveled from Maine, Michigan, South Dakota, Minnesota, California and Montana.
The bride is a 2015 graduate of Cadott High School, and is employed as the assistant manager at South Point Great Clips in Eau Claire. She will transfer to Great Clips in Rochester, Minn., as an assistant manager.
The groom is a 2011 graduate of Triton High School in Dodge Center, Minn., and is a U.S. Marine veteran, attending Dakota County Technical College, in the electrical lineman field.
The couple will make their new home in Dodge Center, Minn.
