Visit the past, view future of farms with tractor show
Last year’s first Allis Fest Tractor and Implement Show was such a success, that the Cadott happening is on for a second year. Held at the Bill Harm farm, on 25309 County Hwy. S, the event features models from the earliest to the latest models of Allis-Chalmers machinery.
“We encourage all people to come, whether you have a tractor or not,” said coordinator Randy Larson. “Just come out and enjoy the day.”
The two-day show takes place Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free admission for the whole family. Not only are there makes and models from Allis-Chalmers on display, as well as other brands of tractors, but there’s also a flea market and swap meet.
A food vendor will also be on hand, but people are welcome to bring a picnic lunch if they prefer, with games and activities for kids, and even toy models of tractors.
Last year, despite being in the middle of a pandemic, there were 65 tractors on display at the land, along with many spectators. Larson hopes to not only match the firstyear number, but surpass them.
“I’ve had phone calls this year from Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, interested in coming,” said Larson.
If anyone has a tractor to display, they can contact Larson at 715-559-7542.
“If you want to see the past that made our agriculture what it is today, please come with the kids, grandkids,” he said. “Show them how far we’ve come in technology, with equipment nowadays.”
