Fire crews responded to the Countryside Motel in Cadott, April 3, around 6 a.m., after reports of a structure fire.

Those responding to the building on the corner of State Hwy. 27 and Lavorata Road, were the Cadott Fire and EMS, Cadott Police Department, Boyd-Edson-Delmar Fire and EMS, Chippewa Falls Fire District ambulance, Bloomer Fire Department and the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the Cadott Police Department, all people in the building were evacuated, with some sustaining minor injuries. Fire crews remained on the scene for over three hours, to monitor the scene and ensure the fire did not restart.
