City council hears concerns about Billings Ave. sidewalk plans, concerns for pedestrian safety
Hwy 13 will be closed between Medford and Stetsonville due to bridge deck replacement on the Little Black River bridge. The bridge is located south of the Hwy 13 intersection with Gravel Road and north of the Apple Ave. intersection. The section of road will be completely closed to traffic, beginning Monday, Aug 3. The project has an estimated duration of 40 working days, with the bridge expected to reopen by the end of September. The official detour route includes Hwy 64 to Hwy 97 and then to Hwy 29. In addition to the work on this section of the road, there will also be a closure for a culvert replacement between Abbotsford and Dorchester. Medford City Hall was buzzing on Monday, July 27 as concerned residents made their voices heard during a meeting regarding the impending installation of a sidewalk on Billings Ave.

Jacob and Daniel Nagel were joined by members of The Chamber, the Gilman Development Foundation and representatives from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Hickory Haven Apartments in Gilman. The owners renovated and converted the former nursing home facility into a mixedsize apartment complex with seven different styles of apartments ranging from a 600 square foot studio apartment to a 1,400 unit with three bedrooms and two baths.
