A call to dance

One of the dancers in the Omeyocan Dance Company blows a conch shell horn during one of their dances at the Spencer Family Night in Literacy event on Nov. 10. The group was in Spencer that afternoon and evening in their traditional Aztec garb to share Mexico’s history and traditions to the students and community. The Omeyocan Dance Company performed several traditional Aztec dances for the attendees of the day’s events and even took some time during their performance that evening to teach the audience some of their dances.
