Ruth M. Weix
Ruth M. Weix, age 85 years, of Colby passed away Monday, August 18, 2008, at the Colonial Center in Colby where she had resided since November 8, 2006. 
Ruth was born April 7, 1923, in Thorp to Oscar and Katherine (Heiman) Mertens on her parents farm. She attended parochial school at St. Bernard’s Catholic  School in Thorp and graduated from the 8th grade. After her schooling she worked as a house helper on various farms in the area helping out with  cleaning and daily chores. Later on Ruth was employeed at the Blue Moon cheese factory in Thorp. 
On June 22, 1944, Ruth married Raymond Joseph Weix. They farmed just west of Colby. Ruth later became a CNA and worked for over 28 years at the Colonial Center in Colby caring for and helping the residents there. Following her retirement, she continued working at the Colonial Center part time. Her husband Raymond passed away Nov. 2, 1997.  
Her family remembers Ruth a being a great baker and all around great cook.  She enjoyed her gardening and canning. Raising her chickens and making sausage brought smiles to her children. Ruth’s children remember Mom for always having concern for everyone, and making sure no one left her house hungry and everyone was always welcome in her home.  “The door was always OPEN.”
Ruth was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, The Christian’s Mother Society,  Catholic Order of Forester’s, a former 4H leader, and a former member of  the local Homemakers Club. 
Ruth is lovingly survived by her children, Bonnie (David) Burich of Colby, Rose Ann (Al) Symicek of Whitehall,  Jackie (Thomas) Younker of Tomahawk, Nancy Pugh of Oshkosh,  Sharon (James) Acker of Rib Lake,  Deborah (Russel) Lee of Omro,  Janet (Karl) Jorgensen of Winneconne, Marjorie (Gary) Youngbauer of Franklin,  Beatrice (Francis) Stockheimer of Stratford,  John (Nancy) Weix of Oak Creek and Thomas (Sue) Weix of Colby. She is further survived by 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four sisters; and three brothers. Also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.  
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two granddaughters, Tracy Lloyd and Angela Youngbauer; two brothers; and three sisters. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Father Anandran Rajendran, Pastor, will preside.  Ruth’s eight son-in-laws will act as her pallbearers.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Colby.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and on Saturday at the church in Colby from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.  A Christian Mother’s Society Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Abbotsford.

Audrey A. Scheel
September 18, 1916 - August 12, 2008
Audrey A. Scheel, (nee Anderson ), 91, was reunited on August 12, 2008 with her beloved husband, Alfred E. Scheel (Hack) and daughter, Mary A. Scheel.
Audrey was born September 18, 1916 in Abbotsford , WI . She married Alfred on February 27, 1937. She is the dear mother of Jacquelyn R. (John D.) Schauss; loving grandmother of Tammy V. (Michael) Robinson and Eric J. Schauss' proud aunt of Ken, Bob, Gerry and Betty. Audrey will be truly missed by other relatives and friends.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Martin and May (nee Haylett) and brother, Kenneth Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Apostle Anglican Catholic Church, N89 W16211 Main St., Menomonee Falls. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

John A. Robida
May 1, 1917 - August 11, 2008
John A. Robida, age 91 years, of Dorchester, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield where he had been admitted on August 10, 2008. 
John was born May 1, 1917, to Anton and Mary (Murien) Robida in the town of Deer Creek in Taylor County.  He attended grade school at Pleasant Valley grade school in Deer Creek until the 8th grade. He started his work career as a licensed cheesemaker working in Stetsonville.  John later became a owner/operator of a dairy farm outside of Dorchester. 
John married Jeannette E. Gebert on Sept. 1, 1941, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. After retiring from farming John started doing carpentry work which he enjoyed.  John’s greatest love was his wife Jeannette  and their snowbirding to Texas and Florida for over 16 years.  John enjoyed fishing and camping and traveling in their motorhome.  John is a member of the Catholic  Order of Forester’s and a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester.
John is survived by his loving and caring wife, Jeannette of Dorchester; his children, Karen Apfelbeck of Colby, Ronald (Judy) Robida of Dorchester, Gwendolyn Harris of Scandanavia, Trude (Tom) Garguilo of Orlando, Fla.;  16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. John is further survived by his siblings,  Ann Denzin of Medford, Margaret (Walter) Balciar of Medford, Donavan (Jo) Robida of Stratford; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Robida. Also survived by many other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Reginald; two brothers, Roy and William Robida; and a brother-in-law, Ed Denvin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Concelebrants for  the Mass will be Rev. Benjamin Franklin, Pastor, and Rev. James Schaefer, a former family parish priest.  A private family commital service at Dorchester Cemetery will be held at a later date.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the church in Abbotsford. Pallbearers will be Craig, Cuyler, and Chad Robida, Jay and Jody Apfelbeck and Matthew Flores.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jerad and Jenna Younker, Tyler and Cody Thorson, Jami Miller, Heather, Erin, and Danielle Harris and Heidi Fischer.

Theresa Hess, 88, Owen, formerly an Abbotsford area resident, died Saturday, August 2, 2008, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, where she had resided for the past four months.

Elton H. Moore
June 20, 1928 - July 29, 2008
Elton H. Moore, age 80, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. 
Elton H. Moore was born in Washington, D.C., on June 20, 1928, to Fred W. and Alice (Skeels) Moore, who were then living in Caseyville, Ill.  Within two years they moved to Belleville, Ill., where Elton graduated valedictorian of his 8 th grade class at Signal Hill School. He graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1946. While in high school he joined the local Musicians Union and played various jobs with jazz quintets playing string bass.
He joined the US Army in 1946. Serving in the Army Ground Forces Band in Caserta, Italy (near Naples), and later in Livorno, Italy (near Florence). He was discharged in 1947.
After attending the spring semester at Belleville Junior College, Elton transferred to Michigan State College, East Lansing, Mich., where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1952.
He married Beverley Scott in Jan. 1951. Deborah was born in Jan. 1952, and David in 1953. The divorce was finalized in 1954, with Deborah and David living with Elton in his folk’s home in Belleville, Ill.
In 1956 Vyonne (sic) Larson of Elbow Lake, Minn., came to teach at Signal Hill School where Elton had graduated. They were married in Speedway, Ind., in August 1958. 
After working as a Technical Sales Engineer for Standard Oil (IN), Allis Chalmers, and Mobile Oil Co., Elton entered the Lutheran Theology at Chicago.  He graduated and was ordained in the Lutheran Church in America (later ELCA) in June of 1964. His first pastorate was Christ Lutheran Church, Evansville, Ind. While there he integrated that congregation.
In 1967 Elton was called to Beaver Dam where St. John’s Lutheran Church was in process of building a new sanctuary. That project was completed and the congregation became involved in a migrant ministry, with several of the members involved in the Lauvach Literacy Program – teaching English as a second language in migrant camps in the area.
Meanwhile Elton and Vyonne welcomed additions to their family, Kathy R., born in Evansville, Kellyann Alice, and Michael Frederick both born in Beaver Dam. 
Son David died in 1972.
Elton was then called to Trinity Lutheran in Unity in 1976. First priority for Trinity was a new parsonage which they moved into in November 1976. 
  Elton left the call at Unity in 1983 but continued with interim pastorates and supply assignments until 1986. 
He attended Control Data Institute in Minnesota for six months of training in computer programming and analysis, after which he worked at Figis and then Marshfield Clinic in the information systems department.
Elton remained active in his retirement working with the 1990 US Census Office in Wausau as Electronic Data Supervisor (second shift foreman). He served as Camp Commissioner at Tesomas Boy Scout Camp, then helped to start Akela’s World Cub Scout Camp as a Program Area Director.  He worked with Friends of Sunburst (Youth home in Neillsville).
He continued to work with Samoset Council BSA., the Community Education Advisory Council, and its outgrowth organization, he was instrumental in the I.D.E.A. foundation of Colby, and he was a key figure in implementing the STEP program.
Surviving relatives include daughters, Kathy R. Moore of Madison, and Kellyann A.M. Babey and her husband Paul Babey of Thunder Bay, Ontario; son, Michael F. Moore and his wife Jennifer J. Bailey, and grandson Nicholas Elton Moore of North Chelmsford, Mass.; daughter, Debbie Moore, grandson Steven Cadwell and granddaughter Laura Marsh and her husband Neil Marsh, and great grandchildren Brendan, Kallie and Gabrielle Marsh, all of Reed City, Mich.; a sister, Dorothy Huff, Fort Collins, Colo.; and other family and friends.
Elton was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Vyonne L. Moore; and his son, David Moore. 
Services for Elton were held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 1, at First United Church of Christ, Colby.  Rev. Kenneth A. Dix presided. Visitation was Friday, August 1, from 9 a.m. to time of service at First United Church of Christ Colby.

Ione Bahr
Sept. 26, 1930 - July 24, 2008
Ione (Gosse) Bahr passed away July 24, 2008, in Milwaukee. She had been a resident of Millway Health Care Center for four years.
She was born Sept. 26, 1930, to Henry and Doris (Lindeau) Gosse of Curtiss. She attended Sandhill School for eight years and then went to work as a babysitter for the Wiedeman family of Abbotsford.
She met Samuel Bahr of Chelsea and they were married May 12, 1949, in Medford. They moved to Milwaukee. She worked in the food industry for many years. She loved to dance and go fishing and they had cabins in Horicon and Hatfield spending many weekends there and at the home farm for visits.
She is survived by her children, Guy (Julie) Bahr, Douglas Bahr, both of Milwaukee, and Kraig (Julie) Bahr of Hartford; one daughter-in-law, Lynette; and four granddaughters; her brother, Sam (Gladys) Gosse, Wausau; a sister, Delila Hamel of Medford; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Gosse of Abbotsford; six nieces and nephews, Ronnie and Elayne Gosse, Abbotsford, Kay and Ronnie Cervant, Stanley, Sonia and Peter Gestner, Plover, and Tim and Donna Gosse, Schofield, Clinton Hamel, Mendota, and Darlene Hamel, Pennsylvania.
Proceeding her in death was her husband, Sammy in 1998; one son, Marlyn; one grandson, Marlyn Jr. from Milwaukee; one brother, Victor, Abbotsford; and one brother-in-law, Loyd Hamel of Withee.
Burial was held July 29 at Valhalla Memorial Park Chapel, Milwaukee.

Adele Mathilde Balsiger was born July 27, 1916, in St. Paul Minn., to Elizabeth (Abegglen) and Frederick Balsiger.

Marland L. Schmidt
Marland L. Schmidt, age 81, formerly of Bloomer, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Colonial Center Exceptional Living Center in Colby following a courageous 16-year battle with cancer.
Marland Lazelle Schmidt was born Oct. 18, 1926, in rural Ceylon, Minn., to Herman and Zola (Jorgensen) Schmidt. He and his mother were born in the same farmhouse. He and his parents moved to a house in Ceylon, to another farm west of Ceylon, and then above a grocery store in Ormsby, Minn., operated briefly by his parents. They moved to Manyaska, then to an apartment above Ollie’s Clothing Store in Ceylon. He attended Ceylon Schools.
Following his graduation from Ceylon High School in 1944 he enlisted July 13, 1944, in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed on the USS Warren APA 53. Stops along his tour of duty included San Pedro, Calif., San Diego, Calif., New Guinea, Okinawa, Leyte, Luzon, Eniwetok, the Philippines, North China, Tokyo Bay and San Francisco. He was honorably discharged Sept. 13, 1946.
Marland worked for Standard Oil for four years as a salesman and clerk. He was then hired as an area manager and district manager for the St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper, serving diligently for 27 years. He then “retired” to begin working as a bartender and maintenance man at the family business, the Bloomer Hotel. In his spare time he worked as a maintenance man at M&I Bank and Kirkwood’s IGA, both in Bloomer. For the past 11 years, until his official retirement in Feb. 2008, Marland served well as a Foster Grandparent at Parkview Elementary School in Chippewa Falls, assisting disadvantaged children with reading, writing and arithmetic. He also loved networking with other senior citizens.
He was united in marriage in 1947 to Alvera Swift. They later divorced. Marland then married Lizbeth Ann “Bette” Robinson in 1954.
He was a member of First Congregational Church in Bloomer, serving 49 years as church treasurer. He was a long-time member of the Bloomer Lions Club, and was a proud recipient of the Melvin Jones award for humanitarian service. He was a member of the Bloomer Masonic Lodge and the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars organizations.
Marland loved to read. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, coin and stamp collecting, gardening and lawn maintenance, and an occasional visit to the casino. He enjoyed doting on his nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his two sons, Todd (Kelly) Schmidt of Colby, and Greg (Diane) Schmidt of Mankato Minn.; one daughter, Barbara (Ken) Weldon, Bloomington, Minn.; one brother, Dennis (Laura) Schmidt, Lakeland, Minn.; three sisters, Darlene (and the late Richard) Gieser, Dresser, Norma (Les) Reynolds, Nevada, Iowa, Donna (Tom) Uram, Corona Del Mar, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Dana (Brian) Hansen, Jeff (Shana) Schmidt, Michael Schmidt, Jason (Renee) Buchholz, Melissa (Todd) Puchalla, Chris Schmidt, Tony Schmidt, Derik Weldon and Lissa (Mike) Weldon; four step-grandchildren, Kyla, Michael and Brandi Reischel and Jack Schmidt; nine great-grandchildren; 23 nieces and nephews; one special friend, Dee Cramblit of Bloomer; and one special former daughter-in-law, Susie (David) Swoboda of Jim Falls.
Marland was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bette; and an infant brother, Darrell Schmidt.
Funeral services for Marland were held Sunday, July 20, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Bloomer. Pastor Phil Schneider presided. Music was provided by Vicki Berg, organist, and grandson Michael Schmidt, vocalist. Inurnment will be in the Bloomer City Cemetery at a future date. Military honors were accorded by the Bloomer American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19, at the Schriver Funeral Chapel, Bloomer., and Sunday, July 20, at First Congregational United Church of Christ. Casket bearers were Jeff and Shana Schmidt, Dana and Brian Hansen, Michael Schmidt, Jason and Renee Buchholz, Todd and Melissa Puchalla, Dennis Schmidt and Kyla, Michael and Brandi Reischel.

October 13, 1919 - July 17, 2008
Doris E. Ploeckelman, 88, Dorchester, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford under the tender and loving care of Ministry Home Care Hospice of Marshfield. 
Doris was born on October 13, 1919 to George and Dorothy (Zwingli) Buehler in Medford. She attended Spruce Grove Elementary School in the town of Deer Creek in Taylor Co. until the 8th grade. Doris then graduated from Medford High School and further attended Taylor Co. Normal School in Medford for 2 years. She married Clarence Carl Ploeckelman on June 3, 1944 in the parsonage at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Medford. Doris was a farm wife for 36 years. She and Clarence farmed for two years in the town of Deer Creek then moved onto a farm in the town of Holton in Marathon County.  That was their home until they retired from farming in 1980 and moved to Dorchester. Her husband Clarence passed away August 29, 2002.
Doris was a former member of the Mother’s Club at Bruckerville School in town of Holton and a former member of the PTA  at the Dorchester grade school. Doris was a current member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and the Homemakers Group all in Dorchester. Doris will be always remembered by her family as being a “GREAT COOK”, especially her bread making. The vegetables she canned were always the best and whenever there was a big event or gathering of family and friends Doris was sure to provide a huge delicious meal, or what her family called a “complete farm meal.” In her spare time Doris loved to sew and spend time with family.   
Doris is lovingly survived by her children; Darlene (Ray) Hafferman, Hartland, William (Irma) Ploeckelman, Stratford, Dale (Nancy) Ploeckelman, Abbotsford, Janet (David) Piechowski, Richfield, Bonita Ervin, Black Rock Ariz., Dawn Ploeckelman, Eau Claire, James (Cheryl) Ploeckelman, Stetsonville, David (Linda) Ploeckelman, Colby and Steven Ploeckelman, Hartland,; 30 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings; Donald  (Adeline) Buehler, Eagan, MN, Lillian (Robert) Sackman, Medford, Phyllis Dable, Mosinee, Philip (Elsie) Buehler, Medford, David Buehler, Athens and Rex (Lee) Buehler, Merrill.  Further survived by other relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Roy Ploeckleman; one brother, John Buehler; and a son-in-law, Ron Ervin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester. The Rev. Jerome Freimuth will preside.  Burial will follow in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester and on Monday at the church in Dorchester from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Sean Michael Ried, 17, Colby, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in Taylor County following an apparent drowning at the Sackett Lake recreational area in the Township of Molitor.
He was born Oct. 15, 1990, in Marshfield. He attended Colby Elementary School and was about to enter his senior year at Colby High School. While not in school, he worked previously at Roger’s Silos in Unity. Presently he was an employee at McDonald’s in Abbotsford. He enjoyed assisting his elderly neighbors in Colby. He loved skate boarding, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of the Chess Club at Colby High School.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Martha Ried, Colby; three brothers, Stephen Ried, Quad Cities, Iowa, Mark Ried (special friend Nina Doberstein), Medford, and twin brother, Russell Ried, Colby; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Mernajean Strathman, Abbotsford; and special friend, Shari Orth, Abbotsford. He is further survived by two nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceeded in death by twin brothers, Roger and Robert Ried, in 1976, and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Carrie Ried.
A funeral service is planned for Saturday, July 12, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Medford. Pastor Brian Wipf will preside. Visitation will be held Friday, July 11, from 4-8 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home and Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Stephen, Mark and Russell Ried, Josh Strebe, Nathan Jensen, Nick Sanders and Seth Amundson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the family for future designation.

B. Carol Tollin, 88, Medford, passed away Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Memorial Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Medford under the care of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc.
Carol was born February 28, 1920 to Jesse and Rose (Peacock) Hall in Belvidere, IL. She attended grade school in Poplar Grove, Ill., and later graduated from Belvidere High School. Following high school, Carol worked for the Greenlee Corp. in Illinois. She married Carl Tollin on Sept. 2, 1945 in Calendonia, Ill. Carol and Carl moved to Abbotsford in 1967 and later they began farming in the town of Mayville from 1971 until they both retired from farming in 1976. Her husband Carl passed away July 26, 1990. Carol was a member of the Homemakers Club in the town of Mayville and a past member of VASA and Brahe Lodge’s in Ill. In her spare time she loved to embroider and crochet.
She is lovingly survived by her two sons, David (Charlotte) Tollin, Roscoe, Ill., and Bruce Tollin, Medford. Carol is further survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Rick) Kuikman, Chicago, Ill., Patricia (Richard) Myers, Rockford, Ill., Melissa (Thomas Schoenfuss) Tollin, Colby and Kristy (Adam Strey) Tollin, Loyal; and her great grandchildren, Kaila and Cody Kuelz, Matthew, Wendy Kimberly and Andrew Kuikman, Evan Myers, Maeghan, Carol and Brandon Weiler, Kirsten Schoenfuss, Tyler Geiger, Alex Best, Hayden Kops, and Ava and Emma Strey. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 11, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will preside. Burial will follow in Christ Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Holton in Marathon County. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home in Abbotsford.

Richard "Dick" Schecklman
Richard A. “Dick” Schecklman, 52, Abbotsford, passed away Monday, July 7, 2008, in the Emergency Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Richard was born Nov. 21, 1955, in Neillsville to Anthony and Anita (Genskow) Schecklman. He attended grade school in Loyal and graduated from Loyal High School. After high school Dick worked for Schreiner’s Plumbing and Heating in Marshfield for 5 years. On Oct. 2, 1982, Dick married Sandra Witt in Stanley. They resided in Abbotsford. Richard was then employed by A.M.P.I. in Abbotsford which later became Foremost Farms. Later Dick transferred to the Foremost Farms operation in the town of Milan in Marathon County. At the same time Dick also worked at Jakel Plumbing in Abbotsford. Richard and Sandra divorced in 2005 but Dick continued to reside in Abbotsford. He was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Abbotsford, a former Loyal FFA member, a former member of both the Abbotsford Jaycees and the Abbotsford Lions Club. In his spare time Dick had only one passion: his cars. He never ever missed the Iola Car Show held every year in Iola.
Dick is survived by his former wife Sandy Schecklman of Jim Falls; their children, Brandon of Jim Falls and Dustin of Abbotsford. He is further survived by his siblings, Bonnie (Lee) Dietsche of Loyal, Jolene (Tom) Zwicke of Wisconsin Rapids, Tim and (Mary) Schecklman of Georgia and Patricia (Ken) Kromanaker of Marshfield. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 11, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. The Rev. Marcia Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church in Abbotsford from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.

Walter Hardrath, 90, Shawano, formerly of Spencer, passed away Tuesday, July 01, 2008 at a local nursing home. 
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 6 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer with the Rev. Rebekah Tarras presiding. 
Burial will be in the West Spencer Cemetery. Memorial funds were established for Maple Lane Care Center in Shawano and for the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer.

Adeline M. Kobs, 86, Abbotsford, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital Marshfield, WI.
Adeline was born March 12, 1922 in Chicago, Ill., to Alexandrus and Catherine Bochnia. In 1951 Adeline married Marvin Kobs in Chicago, Ill. She worked as a production supervisor in Tele Communications. After retirement she moved to Abbotsford, and became the proud owner and operator of the Dirty Shame Saloon.
Adeline is survived by her 3 children, Ron Kaczmarek, Chicago, Ill., Arlette Bosch, Abbotsford, Walter (Margo) Kobs, Wayne, Ill.; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Nathan) SanMartin, and Christopher (Laura) Bosch,; two great-grandchildren, Ryan SanMartin, and A.J. Bosch; and a sister, Eleanor Zakrewski, Elgin, Ill.
Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin in 1991; one sister; and two brothers.
Funeral services for Adeline will be Thursday, July 3, at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, WI. Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker will preside. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to time of service Thursday, July 3, at Christ Lutheran Church.
