Joseph Apfelbeck, 83, Colby, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Golden Living Center Three Oaks, Marshfield.|
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Rev. John Gualbert, Pastor, and Rev. Keith Apfelbeck, a nephew to Joseph, will preside. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Colby with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday at the church in Colby from 8:30 AM until time of service.

Rose Lueth
Rose Lueth, 95, formerly of Curtiss died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Colonial Center, Colby. Funeral Services were held Monday, May 5 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester.
Rev. Jerome Freimuth presided. Susan Tessmer was the organist for Gloria Nixdorf as the soloist. Burial follwed in Pine Hill Cemetery in the town of Mayville in Clark County.

Inez B. Reigel
July 13, 1932 - May 10, 2008
Inez B. Reigel, 75, Unity, died Saturday May 10, 2008 at her home.
Inez was born July 13, 1932 in rural Arpin to Floyd and Grace (Southern) Hause. She graduated from Auburndale High School. She worked at the Marshfield Shoe Factory. Inez married Elmer Reigel on September 11, 1951 in Marshfield. After their marriage they bought a farm on County Road Y in the Marshfield area. In 1964, Inez and Elmer moved to Unity purchasing and operating Reigel’s Blue Moon Tavern where she tended bar and served food until her health worsened.
Inez like doing puzzles, reading romance novels, fishing and her weekly shopping trips to Marshfield. Inez enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Inez is survived by her daughter; Shirley Reigel, Unity; four grandchildren, Keith Flink, Kenny Flink, Dustin Podeweltz, and Melanie Podeweltz; two great-grandchildren, Emma Flink and Aliyah Flink; two brothers, Donald (Delores) Hause, Wisconsin Rapids and Harold (Shirley) Hause, New Berlin and “Jill” her dog and constant companion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; sister, Edith Ubinger; an infant son and Frisky, her beloved dog.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 14, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Colby. Father John Gualbert will preside. There will be a private family burial at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Colby on Tuesday.

Winifred Klimpke, 83, died Tuesday May 6, 2008 at the Clark County Health Care Center Owen. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home Dorchester. Rev. Mark Neumann will preside. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery Curtiss. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Klimpke, Shawn Podevels, Andy Johnston, Travis Zvolena, Todd Klimpke and Chris Klimpke.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home Dorchester.

Dylan James DeCaire
January 24, 1991 - April 6, 2008
Dylan James DeCaire, 17, Dorchester entered eternal life after April 6, 2008 doing what he loved to do.
Dylan was born January 24, 1991 to Robert and Lisa (Bergerson) DeCaire, Jr. in Medford. He attended grade school in Dorchester then later at Colby Middle School. Dylan was currently a junior in the 11th grade at Colby High School. He was employeed part time at Kramer’s County Market as a cashier. When Dylan was not at school or working, he loved his football and basketball almost as much as he loved his hunting and fishing. Nothing was more important than spending time with his family and his friends.
Dylan is survived by his mother; Lisa, Dorchester and father; Robert Jr., Owen; one sister, Karisa, Dorchester; and two brothers, Joel, Dorchester and Brandon, Wind Lake
He is further survived by his maternal grandparents, Bonnie (Ray) Hill, and James (Carol) Bergerson, both of L’Anse, MI.; and his paternal grandparents, Robert (Carol) DeCaire, Sr., Owen; and his great-grandparents, Matt (Rose) Toyras, L’Anse, MI. Dylan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Rev. John Gualbert will preside. Kathleen Slipek will be the organist for services. Friends may call from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church in Colby and Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Private burial services will take place at a later time.

Edwin Weiland, Sr., 79, Colby, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at his home in the Town of Frankfort.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2008 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. Rev. Thomas Haar will preside. Burial will take place in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, March Rapids. Michael Clarkson, 47, of the town of Little Black, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 2, at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, with the Reverend Kris Bjerke-Ulliman presiding. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Our Saviours Lutheran Church Cemetery town of Holway, at a later date.
Pearl Beightol
Pearl Beightol, 89, of Monroe, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Pleasant View Nursing Home where she had resided since November 2007.
Funeral services were held on April 26 at Grace Lutheran Church, Monroe with Reverend John Tabaka presiding. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. A memorial fund will be established in her name.

Edward Michael Jamrok
November 1, 1925 - April 20, 2008
Edward Michael Jamrok, 82, died unexpectedly Sunday April 20, 2008 at his home in Holcombe, WI .
Edward was born November 1, 1925 in Chicago, Ill., a son of Vincent and Anna (Myslivy) Jamrok. He attended Tildon High School and Lane Technical in Chicago. Following his education, Edward enlisted in the US Navy, serving during WWII on the USS LaGrange as a second class gunners mate.
Edward and Rose Mae Fitzlaff were married on June 10, 1949 at St Gall's Catholic Church in Chicago.
The couple lived in the Chicago area where Edward was employed as a diesel truck mechanic for Consolidated Freightways until the time of his retirement. Edward also volunteered on the Pleasantdale Fire Department and later served as Fire Commissioner. Upon retirement the couple moved to a lake home in Holcombe.
Edward was very capable and independent. He enjoyed maintaining and fixing things around their properties, playing cards, square dancing, and hunting. Edward was a life-long member of the Dorchester American Legion Post #517 and of the IAM Local #701 in Chicago.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Rose; children, Roseanne Jamrok Bowman, Interlochen, MI, Thomas (Judy) Jamrok, Glen Ellyn, IL , William (Debbie) Jamrok, Houston, TX, and Richard (Diane) Jamrok, Cedar Rapids, IA; and his grandchildren, Melissa, Elise, Jeffrey, Amanda, Quinn, Ashleigh and Madeline.
Edward was preceded in death by brothers; John, Frank, Joseph, Lefty, Mickey, Ray, Adolph and sisters; Fran and Sophia.
His children and grandchildren will dearly miss his unconditional love.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at St Louis Catholic Church. Fr. Benjamin Franklin will preside. Family will greet friends from 8 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home, Dorchester, WI. Burial with military honors conducted by the Leach-Paulson American Legion Post #517 will be at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up for those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Edward’s name with The American Heart Association

Sharon G. Hayton, age 63, of Colby, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.
Sharon was born September 10, 1944, in Portland Ore., to Christopher and Ethel (Strizel) Ruud. She graduated from South Eugene High School, Eugene, Ore.
Sharon married Lloyd Hayton on January 18, 1964, in Reno, Nev. She was employed at the University of Oregon. After moving to Colby, she was employed at Colby Metals. Sharon loved her pets, horseback riding and going to various casinos.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Lloyd Hayton of Colby; one son, Ronnie (Stephanie) Hayton of San Angelo, Texas; one daughter, Shellie (Jeff) Peterson of Abbotsford; two granddaughters, Megan and MacKensie Peterson; and one brother, Mick (Muriel) Ruud of Eugene, Ore.
Sharon was proceeded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26, at the Colby VFW Post 2227, from 12 to 6 p.m.

Gordon A. Abegglen, 84, Colby passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen where he had resided since July 2, 2005.
Gordon was born July 31, 1923 to Albert and Lydia (Ploeckelman) Abegglen in Stetsonville, WI. He attended Pleasant Valley School in Stetsonville until the 8th grade. Later Gordon moved to Madison, where he enrolled in the Agricultural Short Course. He returned to Stetsonville and worked on his father’s farm and other farm operations in the area.
On June 16, 1951, Gordon married Ivadeane Smith at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville. They later moved to Colby where they started to farm and raise their children. Gordon was commited to farming, it was his life and his passion. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling with his wife Ivadeane. Gordon was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.
He is survived by his wife Ivadeane, his children; Arlyn (Joyce) Abegglen, Spencer, Dale Abegglen, Abbotsford, Cheryl (Frank) Smith, Battle Creek, MI , Renae Nelson, Mesa, AZ, Lorna (Lee) Preston, Raleigh, NC.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Gordon is further survived by two sisters and two brothers; Adeline (Lester) Schoenike, Waukesha, Janet (Marvin) Schrader, Sheboygan, Donald Abegglen, Stetsonville and Alvin (Genevieve) Abegglen, Stetsonville. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and his great grandson, Hunter Abegglen.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Rev. Mark Neumann will preside. Burial will be in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the Abegglen Family will be setting up a memorial at a later time.
