Legal Advertising

The Tribune-Phonograph and The Record Review offer legal publication advertising. Legal items can be placed as line ads or box ads, depending on the type of notice. The following are just a few things to know about legal advertising.

State law requires that legal publications are published in a paid circulation publication (such as The Tribune-Phonograph or The Record Review) as opposed to a free distribution publication (such as The Central Wisconsin Shopper). There is nothing preventing you from running your legal publication in The Central Wisconsin Shopper in addition to The Tribune-Phonograph or The Record Review. See Wisconsin Statutes, Chapter 985 for a more detailed account.

• Liquor license ads are considered a per line charge.

• Affidavits are provided with a copy of the ad for an additional $1.00 charge.

• The deadline for placing a legal ad in The Tribune-Phonograph or The Record Review is Monday at 5:00 p.m.

• If you do not have an account with The Tribune-Phonograph or The Record Review, ads must be paid for in advance.

Although we offer legal publication advertising, we are not qualified to give legal advice. Therefore, it is your responsibility to know what information needs to be published and for how long.
