Questions appearance of back room politics
While reading The Star News this week I was taken aback regarding the article on the front page dealing with the "Emmerich" alley. Evidently the city pulled a fast one and got away with it. I thought in order to attend a court proceeding, all of the litigants were supposed to be notified of the date and time of said proceedings. Silly me, and I thought I'd paid attention in civics class. Evidently things are done a bit different in good old Medford.
I'm referring to the recent decision handed down on September 29, 2009 by the Honorable Ann Knox-Bauer regarding the alley in the Whelen/McCarthy addition. It is more than a little curious that in the findings of fact offered by the Circuit Court that ALL of the defendants were served. Unfortunately, this simply isn't the case as the Bixs were not informed of the proceedings occurring on that date. The only summons received by them was for a Status/Scheduling hearing on October 13, 2009 at 11:30 a.m.
Small town cronyism is indeed alive and well in our fair community. The ends did justify the means in the city’s eyes. Kinda makes you wonder of what else is going on under the radar doesn't it? And you thought this kind of thing only happened in larger cities, well fool me once.
To add insult to injury, after confiscating the land the Bixs have paid property taxes all these years, the city will be more than happy to assess them to essentially pave their land. What a country! By the way, while in the previous forty or so years before the city finally won (?) their suit; if someone would have injured themselves on that "alley" and sued, it most certainly would have been the Bixs' responsibility. You know the city would not have had anything to do with it and simply passed the baton back to the Bixs. What do you mean you can't have it both ways? "Teflon" John Gotti should have had it so good!
Unfortunately, the Bixs pretty much figured that they were going to lose, because: “You Can't Fight City Hall.” After all, the city essentially used the taxpayer's (Bixs) money to bring its suit. The Bixs are on a fixed income, how easy could it have been to achieve its agenda. It is just that it would have been fair to at least been able to attend the court proceeding and watch first-hand the railroading that took place. The Bixs would have most assuredly been in attendance as they had some concerns to voice. That, my friends is how we take care of the elderly, not to mention a World War II Veteran, in this town. Makes you all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it?
To be sure there will be a more concerted effort on my part to monitor the goings on in our community. Again, just wondering where the summons went. Maybe the dog ate it. Hmmm. Stay tuned to this channel. To be continued . . .

Discontent against Obama is rising
Unfortunately a healthy portion of our society is dependent on our government handouts, and think of themselves as subjects instead of citizens. Obama’s party will be the largest employer in the world.
Is socialism what you want? I don’t think so. Obama is trying to create political base like never before — takeover of the food industry?
Think about your last vote.

Obama’s brand of socialism is far from being harmless
George Soros “slightly left” and the U.S. health care system compared to (militarization)? It looks as though Linda Osolkowski is the disingenuous one. I do welcome Linda’s debate surrounding the United Nations as I spend a great deal of effort reading through its many interlocking initiatives. In the information age, one can no longer legitimately claim ignorance not knowing what is happening with the Security Council and General Assembly.
United Nations’ reform is the materialization of an adopted Security Council Resolution known as the Partnership Among Civilizations. Behind the implementation of this partnership is the UN Alliance of Civilizations initiative which is openly hostile towards the United States, calling for a re-definition of our sovereignty as we have been identified as an obstacle to the advancement of the alliance’s goals. 2005 was a crucial year for the alliance’s architects. Much of the ground work for the alliance was laid out at the Madrid Terrorism and Security Conference where Kofi Anan was directed to incorporate the contents of the conference outcome documents into a new UN global counter-terrorism strategy, a.k.a., “The Strategy.” Among those in attendance included George Soros. Among the recommendations: implement a global biometrics system to combat “extremism” and govern the culture.
I’ve become acquainted with Soros primarily through his work with Javier Solana in the re-shaping of the Transatlantic Alliance (NATO) and also his involvement with the Earth Charter and the Alliance of Civilizations. The Earth Charter, a pillar of the AoC, calls upon the global citizen to “pledge allegiance to the earth” rather than individual nation-states. Implementation is closer than one might think. The president of the 63rd session of the United Nations called upon the G20 to co-operate and dismantle the existing world economic order and replace it with one in which participation is not optional. After the last G20 economic summit, Britain’s Gordon Brown had declared that a new world order had finally been achieved. The UN model calls for an economic system intertwined with a “sustainable spirituality,” one in which individuals must recognize “mother earth” as the creator. (Linda should recognize this as the goddess doctrine.) I’m certain this “new” spirituality will be reflected in the December release of the Alliance of Civilizations’ guidelines—the Charter for Compassion—which are to provide instruction on how religious texts must be interpreted. So far, Karen Armstrong has said the guidelines are “based upon the fundamental principles of the Golden Rule.” This ought to ring familiar because Linda tells us the Golden Rule is the only religion anyone will ever need.
Linda Osolkowski is an example of the world citizen whose time has arrived: a civilization where God is spelled backwards while identifying oneself as divine. Yet this new system may be the most cruel joke on the new agers themselves. The system has teeth and its governance model is one of civilian-military integration (CIMIC) presently being sold under the name of “shared security.” Alliance of Civilizations Prince El Hassan bin Talal in advancing shared security writes it is time “to set aside the separation of church and state” for the new society. Global CIMIC relies heavily on NATO and the European Union and was handed unprecedented power by G. W. Bush through the Berlin-Plus Agreement.
Although the alliance favors restrictions on criticism of religion under defamation of religions resolutions, they had no reservations pushing religious buttons when they codified CIMIC using Recommendation 666 as its number and through use of Resolution 666 to create a position for the recipient of the crisis-management powers. However, new age visionaries such as Barbara Marx Hubbard, David Spangler, Daniel Pinchbeck, etc. argue that this is a good number, for it is what they await for liberation. Incidentally, CNN recently reported that Defense Secretary Gates plans to further integrate the military into the civilian population to combat the swine flu. This is in addition to the integrating of 20,000 troops he announced December 2008. The concept of global CIMIC indicates that first “the hearts and minds of the people” must be won in order to effectively conduct “war amongst the people.”
On June 4 in Cairo, Egypt, President Obama presented his case that the United States is committed to implement the Alliance of Civilizations initiative. The first step, he says, is “recognizing the common humanity,” a clear reference to the “collective.” This type of “socialism” is not merely as harmless as the construction of a community fire department as Linda argues, it more resembles National Socialism.
